John & Sue Harper: Why is Fairport Baptist Church your church home.

For the past 40 years we had been members of Mount Ararat Baptist Church (The Mount) in Stafford, VA where we had the opportunity to grow spiritually and serve in a vibrant Christian community. Our mottos were “Go and be the Church”, “For one more”, and “Be generous”. Upon retirement and moving fulltime into the Reedville area of the Northern Neck we needed to find a new Christian community where we could continue our spiritual growth and serve with others in ministries and missions. We visited a few churches in the area and found that Fairport Baptist Church would be our new church home. We preferred a Baptist church as it is one of the denominations still biblically based without conforming to world view standards. We also wanted somewhere close to our home which would allow us to be more involved with others in our church community. We found that the fellow members are all very welcoming and friendly. We look forward to serving our Lord Jesus Christ within this community.
